Sr. Member of Technical Staff - Cloud Software Engineering - Opportunity for Working Remotely

Duties: Perform design, development, unit testing, debugging and implementation of next generation cutting edge cloud-based computing software platforms and security products. Determine procedures, methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to deliver solid code and working applications for highly scalable distributed systems or infrastructure product development. Develop significant components to solve complex ambiguities and maintain subsystem stability and improve the performance with optimized data modeling and processing. Collaborate with product managers, customers and other teams on various aspects of the product. Maintain technical acumen in key technology areas to guide the evolution of our software platforms. Participate and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for complex problems in cloud computing environments.

Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related position. In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related position.

Employer requires least six (6) of the following skills gained through industry experience:

• Building software solutions in an engineering environment using C, C++, Python, Java, Perl, Matlab, Shell Scripting, or Javascript;
• Designing, building and running high-performance, highly available and scalable systems and services using object-oriented design and principles;
• Microservices hosted in leading cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP;
• Development of enterprise and cloud-based software solutions using Java and frameworks and tools, such as Tomcat, Apache libraries, Spring, Netty, Hibernate, Spring Security, or Junit & Mocking;
• Containerized applications such as Docker or Kubernetes;
• Development experience with messaging service framework such as Java Messaging Service or Azure Event Hub;
• Build tools such as Maven, Make, Gradle, Jenkins pipeline script, or source code control solutions such as Git;
• Reviewing designs and code from other developers to ensure designs and code fully meet all functional and non-functional requirements;
• Debugging complex problems using common tools and debuggers.

For CO, NY, CA and WA residents, the salary range for this position is: $192,941 - $277,000/yr. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience.
