Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work in at our headquarter office located in San Jose, CA. This candidate is part of design automation and verification team to design, enable and verify Printed Circuit Board (PCB) hardware and layout designs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Implement PCB physical layout with Computer Hardware (H/W), Mechanical and Thermal design teams to meet design schedules
- Conduct layout feasibility studies in area, PCB layers, placement and routing
- Implement
- Schematic design import
- Physical design constraint settings,
- Component placement,
- Routing (e.g. high speed signals, high current power) strategies,
- Clean up physical Design Rule Check (DRC)
- Review Artwork and prepare GERBER
Qualifications:
- Master of Science (MS) degree from Electrical Engineering (EE) or related field required
- Knowledge and experience for PCB layout tool Allegro and SKILL scripts is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience for Mentor Graphics tool Valor is a plus.
- Good understanding with PCB manufacturing and design is preferred but not required.
