Associate, Project Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing project management of GNC Product Development projects throughout a product’s lifecycle which expands from ideation to commercialization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist all aspects of new product development projects and tasks


• Ensure projects, tasks and timelines are completed on time, and fulfill the goals of the project plan


• Collaborate with a large cross functional team of both internal and external partners. Understand each stake holder’s role in the process and be able to gather information from and report back to the appropriate party.


• Able to take direction with desire to evolve into an independent thinker that is self-motivated


• Pre-Development: Support processes and workflow for pre-development functions


• Product brief review


• Understand formulation


• Raw material familiarization


• Project Management & Process Management: Products in the pipeline


• Project initiation


• Cost Analysis


• Prepare RFQ/analyze bid submissions


• Quote approval


• Assist with flavor testing/approval


• Packaging


• Document gathering and dissemination


• Label/artwork kick off and review


• Manufacturing oversight


• Quality control and testing requirement


• Shipment/transportation


• Communication & Reporting


• Establish projects and reports in varying systems


• Maintain timely and accurate reports that are organized and accessible to all


• Continuous follow-up


• Work with manager to report project status to all necessary internal customers


• Responsible to keep all internal partners up to date on project status


• Keep all relevant parties informed of any interruption/delay to the project’s timeline


• Seek to develop improvements to processes or to create processes where applicable


• All other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required


• 2 years of specific experience in project management/ product development for private label consumer packaged goods preferred


• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook, Workfront and Internet applications.


• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills


• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning)


• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts


• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients


• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.


• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management


• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting


• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


• Ability to work overtime as necessary
