The Location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Airbnb,Inc. can employ in states where we have registered entities. Currently, employees can not be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware and Rhode Island. Are you a learning experience designer who builds holistic learning experiences? Are you looking for a team where connection and belonging are at the core of our learning solutions?

The Airbnb Host Education, Inclusion, and Communication team is growing, and we're looking for an experienced learning experience designer to help our team onboard and educate Airbnb Hosts globally. In this role, you will report to the senior manager of educational content development and work very closely with cross functional teams across Host Education and beyond.

You will play a key role in building creative and engaging educational programs and products for Hosts worldwide, sharing expertise on how to get started hosting successfully on Airbnb and growing as a Host.

You will have the opportunity to partner with many cross-functional stakeholders to design and develop new educational programs for specific audiences such as: new Hosts, Hosts on the path to Superhost, Hosts growing their hosting business, Superhost Ambassadors, Airbnb Community Leaders etc.

Responsibilities

Be the voice of the learner (Hosts), ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our educational efforts and help our team iterate and improve on our content offerings.
Use your deep knowledge of how people learn and grow to design innovative, and even radical, educational content and experiences for Hosts.
Identify learning objectives, behavioral outcomes, key moments for learning intervention and evaluative strategies to deliver education.
Lead projects through the development lifecycle, providing clear timelines through all phases, providing quality assurance oversight of educational materials, and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders for successful implementation.
Partner with the Host Education team and creative producers to deliver world-class learning experiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (within Host Education, Inclusion & Communications and across the Airbnb Hosting organization: Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Research, Content, Creative etc.) to implement educational strategies to support Host success
Lead change by researching and suggesting new and creative approaches to deliver engaging content to learners.
Learn through talented, smart and kind people, who come to work everyday championing and embodying the mission, values and culture of Airbnb.

About You

5+ years experience in instructional design, learning experience design, and/or learning consultation experience.
Proven experience developing and leading learning programs that delivered high learner impact.
Data-driven and strong analytical skills to translate data into key insights and recommendations.
Strong understanding of knowledge & content management strategies.
Design thinking experience and creative subject matter expertise.
Experience creating large scale educational programs for a global audience and the ability to account for regional, cultural, and generational differences.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams and influence deliverables in a highly matrixed organization structure.
Mastery of written communication.
Proven ability to work in a multicultural, multilingual global organization.
Insatiable curiosity and deep empathy for Airbnb's Hosts.
Passion for Airbnb's mission and core values.
Ability to work in a fast pace, ever-changing environment.

You will play a key role in building our team's ability to deliver creative, engaging and inspirational educational content for our Airbnb Hosts worldwide. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate and role model world-class educational content development skills through hands-on development of new learning programs for Hosts unlike anything they have seen.

The Pay

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between 118,000 and 148,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
