Summary of the Position:

Novavax is seeking a full-time IT Desktop Engineering Lead. Over the last two years Novavax has experienced tremendous growth and has an immediate need for a seasoned Desktop Engineer with deep technical skills to rapidly mature our end user technology, standards, processes, and procedures. As part of the Director of End User Services' technical leadership team, this role is intended to the be the departments expert in image creation, automation, application deployment, patching (BIOS, OS and Apps), tuning and remote management of over 2k (and growing) endpoints in three countries.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create and maintain standard Windows desktop configurations and assist with the creation of automated Windows based software packages to ensure the enterprise desktop systems can be supported and patched.
• Support Windows desktop leveraging management systems, includingActive Directory,Intune, Tanium, Azure, and related technologies.
• Create and maintainpolicies and scripts for distributing configuration settings to Windows workstations via Intune.
• Deployment, management, and support of Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro, and iPads.
• Development, maintenance, and administration of the Jamf Pro system for managing Apple based devices.
• Development, testing, and implementation of processes for building, upgrading, and patching Mac and Windows workstations.
• Monitor the performance and stability of workstations to ensure optimal customer experience.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improvement of Desktop Engineering processes; propose and engineer solutions.
• As the IT 's department's expert in end user technology, provide Tier 3 Support to End User Services to pinpoint the root causes of issues and assist in developing and deploying fixes.
• Collaborate with GlobalService Desk on worldwide deployments and communications.
• Produce and maintain documentation, knowledgebase articles, and training materials to as needed.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years experience managing end user workstations at an enterprise level
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems
• Advanced knowledge of Mac OS, iOS, and Apple Remote Desktop
• Working knowledge of Intune, Tanium and Jamf environments
• Excellent knowledge of software and applications, including Microsoft Office, Office 365, ServiceNow, enterprise-level Anti-Virus & Web filtering
• Advanced Knowledge of application packaging and/or deployment in an enterprise in an enterprise environment.
• Advanced Knowledge of OS and Application patching.
• Experience supporting Windows Workstations in a Windows Active Directory environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting with inter-departmental personnel to assist with assessing department needs to achieve departments' IT-related goals.
