Overview:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all aspects of the running of the Cheshire warehouse in regards to labor, inbound and outbound freight and communications with departments all levels inside and outside of our organization with the assistance of the warehouse supervisor.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct employees in daily assignments with the assistance of the warehouse supervisor
  • Develop and continuously train team members
  • Accurately receive inbound freight and ship outbound freight
  • Ensure all orders are double checked for accuracy and condition
  • Ensure all orders are routed correctly relative to all traffic parameters
  • Assist with coordinating equipment pickups / deliveries and resolving any tracing problems
  • Maintain adequate space for storage of product, anticipating peak periods of inventory levels while preparing for future growth
  • Ensure product is stored safely to achieve no storage damage while making it accessible for order picking
  • Implementation and executive controls to attain maximum product security
  • Conducts verifications of inventory levels when required and communicate real / projected stock outs to appropriate departments
  • Maintain adequate levels of warehouse and vehicle supplies as well as all pertinent forms
  • Oversee the warehouse to ensure it stays clean, orderly, safe and secure at all times


Physical Demands / Work Environment:
  • Work will involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh between 10 to 80 lbs.
  • Regular application of basic skills (keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination)


Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
  • Strong relationship management skills with customers, vendors and personnel within the organized required
  • Great organizational skills and ability to use good judgement in performing conflicting demands and managing priorities
  • Experience in the office products / IT or a similar industry is a plus
  • Forklift experience is a plus
