Job Description
As a Senior Manager on the Engineering Experience team, you will drive the direction of engineering at Wish. You will build tools and frameworks to empower development teams to work as efficiently as possible. These tools and frameworks will allow teams to develop, build, test, and push code at scale.
As a senior manager for Quality Engineering, you will own our SCM and CI systems to enable engineers to develop and test day to day. Your goal is to define software quality at Wish and build processes, tools, and systems to help managers and engineers improve software quality.
Responsibilities:
- Set and execute goals to define and improve code quality at Wish
- Ensure Wish releases quality software by creating processes, tools, and automation.
- Guide the long term of vision of code quality across all of Wish
- Lead the Quality Engineering initiatives using modern tools and technologies
- Collaborate with various departments and implement process improvements
- Manage and develop the team through involvement, delegation, and regular reviews of performance
- Actively mentor, lead, and support team members
- Help troubleshoot build environment and tools usage issues
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, other related field, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience building a team and managing Software Engineers
- 5 years of experience in Software Development in Test, QA, or equivalent roles.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and building a world-class team of quality professionals
- Ability to technically lead a wide range of automation initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GitLab CI
- Experience with testing for Python and Golang
- Experience managing a remote team
