What your day will look like immersed on our GROWING last mile sector:

  • Develop, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects through a combination of in-person meetings, phone, and web conferences.
  • Develop prospecting lists and perform cold-calling activities to self-generate leads.
  • Respond to inquiries assigned from other lead-generation efforts and convert to opportunities.
  • Manage the sales cycle, pipeline, and record prospecting activities in Salesforce.
  • Present Merchants value-proposition, pricing and negotiate to close deals.

The Expertise you bring to Merchants:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in sales or a related field within the rental, fleet leasing and management, logistics or other related industries is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record as a top performer in professional sales setting.

The unique skill set we need to help grow our business in Last Mile:

  • Proficient at finding and cultivating new sales leads and forming bonded relationships with potential clients and customers.
  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of levels up to and including small business owners and C level personnel at client and prospective client companies.
  • Ability to influence decision makers through sales strategy and tactical negotiations.
  • Demonstrated competency in moving opportunities from inception to completion.
  • Talented at probing for unfulfilled needs and demonstrating Merchants' value proposition.
  • Working knowledge and competency with pipeline management tools and other common business technology software; ability to learn and utilize proprietary company software and on-line web-based tools employed by the company.
  • Basic understanding of how to interpret financial statements to assess the credit worthiness of prospective clients.
  • Knowledge of rental and leasing contracts, deal structures and fleet management services.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • The desire, willingness, and ability to learn - inquisitive in nature.
  • Function as a team player and assist in directing and coordinating company resources to meet the needs of clients and prospects.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.

Education:

  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
