Trane Technologies in Willowbrook, IL is hiring a Service Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will be a key team member on our Service Sales team, and responsible for quoting and entering service work, ordering parts and necessary supplies, and ensuring that all service work is scheduled and executed.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the service coordination function to respond efficiently to customers, ensure technicians' training and skill level is appropriately balanced to service customers, and leverage resources across the district. This includes emergency repair, regular maintenance contracts, scheduled work and upgrades, installations, replacement components, and long-term service agreements.

Effectively attract, coach, counsel, train and develop all service employees. Drive continuous improvement through company performance management process and technical product training programs available. Develop employee skill levels, including customer service, process, and technical skills to the highest degree possible.

Maximize cash flow by ensuring invoices are generated immediately upon completion of work, managing expense budgets, and increasing utilization of the service team. Ensure that standard service work processes are created and followed. Improve transactional processes impacting the customer experience and increase overall customer satisfaction.

Ensure environmental, health and safety compliance within service team and sub-contractors. Provide training to all employees to ensure a safe and productive work environment both in the shop and at customer sites.

Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During the site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.

Plan and analyze assigned projects, establish schedules, project parameters, and set procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex service applications.

Create estimates and generate proposals. Entering projects, ordering parts, tracking parts, scheduling labor internally and with customer, reviewing completion of projects and billing coordination

Responsible for entering service estimates, issuing purchase orders, and generating work orders.

Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals. Assist Sales develop projects as needed.

Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff. Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum five (5) years' experience in project management, HVAC or related preferred.

Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes and estimating associated with the installation of HVAC systems and managing subcontractors preferred.

Computer skills are essential.

Highly organized and strongly customer service oriented
