Regional Sales Manager, Northwest Region

Reporting to the Director, North America Sales (Electronics and Semiconductor Business Unit), this person will be charged with setting strategies for all sales activities, account development and expansion initiatives within the Electronics Markets including OEMs, Distributors and Contract Electronic Manufacturers accounts in this Northwest regional territory. The candidate will be responsible for driving growth for all of Electronics (Passives, Sensors, Semiconductor Protection & Power Semi) technologies within key accounts within this geographic market. The Northwest geographic region will consist of between 3 to 5 Rep Firm Territories in the Northwest United States and Western Canada. The candidate must be able to monitor market trends and developments providing appropriate messaging to internal teams, customers, and management on these findings. As a member of the ESBU sales team you will be pivotal in the development and execution of an overall account management strategy. The ideal candidate will leverage their proficiency within the electronics circuit protection market to meet challenges head on and build an exciting career with outstanding earning potential.

About the Job:

- Sell Littelfuse products and achieve or exceed a given sales forecast by developing appropriate sales strategies in the territory
- Develop and maintain strong relationship at Key Customers and Key Distributors in line with our Market Segment strategy
- Directly Manage, motivate & drive our network of Manufacturer Rep Firms in the Northwest Region.
- Train Sales Reps on new products and implementation of all technologies into a wide range of technical applications.
- Maintain the existing distribution network
- Support distributors in their purchase activities
- Manage, motivate, and drive the Local Distribution Branch Sales and FAE staff
- Give sales training to the distributors’ employees & Rep Firms
- Develop and oversee Creation and Management of New Business Opportunities for the region
- Understand emerging trends or technologies, which may impact Littelfuse solutions. Stay on top of product-market developments and report about these
- Initiate new applications for Littelfuse products
- Initiate new product developments
- Provide Product Management with competitive market information
- Assist with coordination of territory visits by Littelfuse Sales-, Product- and Marketing Managers
- Conduct appropriate action to accomplish full customer satisfaction (in case of bottlenecks, problems, or customer complaints)

About You:

- University Degree: technical degree, such as Electrical Engineer or other Engineering Disciplines preferred
- Sales management experience in Electronics preferred.
- LF Key Customer Base knowledge in the assigned territory is a benefit
- Knowledge of the electronics markets sales channels and related experience working with key distributor sales offices and Manufacturers Rep Firms is a plus
- Experience in electrical / electronic components preferred
- Experience working with Littelfuse Franchised Distributors is a plus
- Experience or ability to thrive in an international working environment preferred
- English language fluency mandatory; Written and Verbal
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Self motivated personality, personally driven (will consider Home Office or Corp Office based)
- Ability to work remotely and virtually is a plus in addition to working in a Team environment.
- Knowledge of the electronic component industry with demonstrated direct selling experience to major customers, preferably with semiconductor or circuit protection components is desired but not required.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding quota and key objectives
- BSc Electronic Engineering or other BSc Engineering disciplines as well as Marketing qualifications will be considered (Electronics or Technical Experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are required due to high customer interaction, via phone, e-mail, and in-person
- Capability to quickly develop credibility though partnerships with peers and the Management Team
- Strong Strategic Skills and the ability to work in a team to develop strategies and action plans
- An articulate and inspiring communicator having the ability to lead people and changes in a positive direction
- A balance of abilities in setting long term vision and achieving tactical milestones
- High energy, passionate and takes ownership
- Willingness to travel between 40 to 60% (once travel is considered appropriate due to the pandemic)
