About this role:




Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Regulatory Relations Specialist who will serve as critical advisor to the Regulatory Relations Leads for Enterprise Functions Regulatory Relations or ECE / SPCM Regulatory Engagement, which will require a specific focus on managing and supporting a broad, diverse team while leveraging a strategic, detail- oriented, flexible approach.




The incumbent for this position will report to the Regulatory Lead covering Enterprise Functions . The Enterprise Functions team ensures an organized and cohesive approach to interacting with regulators, ensuring transparency and consistency of communications, providing oversight and guidance on the quality of regulatory responses, and ensuring adherence to enterprise policy requirements.




The incumbent will be broadly responsible for supporting the Regulatory Leader and senior Strategy, Digital and Innovation business partners in engaging with regulators, managing exams, coordinating ad hoc regulatory requests, and assisting in the oversight of applicable Enforcement Actions.




In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross functional with broad impact and act as key participant in establishing and maintaining the enterprises regulatory relations strategy, governance, communications, and procedures to manage regulatory engagements and interactions for Regulatory Relations functional area
  • Lead highly complex regulatory engagements with focus on ensuring appropriate accountability and interaction with regulators
  • Oversee and identify integration opportunities for key regulatory responses and commitments through Regulatory Relations lifecycle of engagement
  • Ensure consistent delivery on regulatory commitments and consistent execution of the Regulatory Relations policy and procedures
  • Consult with peers and stakeholders in identifying and addressing opportunities to improve on regulatory, policy and procedures in a timely manner
  • Perform oversight activities at the enterprise level to assess and ensure adherence to the Regulatory Relations policy and procedure
  • Aggregate and report on regulatory actions to key stakeholders, including executive leadership, the board of directors, and regulators
  • Analyze internal and external regulatory environment to identify themes and risks
  • Lead implementation of initiatives with moderate to high risk
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and accomplish goals and priorities
  • Lead projects with virtual teams and mentor a peer
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Regulatory Relations or Risk Management, includes Regulatory Relations, Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
