General Purpose:


The Senior Business Consultant maintains a proven track record of B2B technology sales with a focus on new-business development. This individual will be consultative, adaptable, and creative in your approach and have experience and knowledge of B2B technology companies, particularly start-ups, especially cloud communications and SaaS based companies. This candidate will have the responsibility for building a robust pipeline and delivering on quarterly and annual revenue targets. This role will need to identify prospects, qualify leads, generate, and increase revenue and upsell or cross-sell our products and services to the existing client base. Reports to the Direct Sales Manager. No direct reports.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • New-business sales consultant that generates pipeline, sales activity, and lead qualification.

  • Proven track record of acquisition sales, adept exceeding quota and achieving goals.

  • Business Consultant that thrives on driving new business and business development within SaaS and managed services environment.

  • Demonstrate a strong initiative to build and develop a pipeline, by identifying leads through tools, networking, and community events.

  • Capable of aligning prospects and customers business objectives to our solutions.

  • Effectively qualify leads and perform needs assessment and can lead technical resources and strategic sales campaign.

  • Provide accurate, reliable reports and forecasts as well as achieve your own sales targets to help the company manage its growth with confidence.

  • Develop sales strategies with partners and pre-sales relevant to your target customers.

  • Be consultative, establish yourself as a Trusted Advisor to prospects and customers through solution selling.

  • Contribute to building a "best place to work" and a winning culture that attracts and retains the best and the brightest.

  • Provide feedback and ideas to sales on how the company can do more to support the business.

  • Maintain and develop strong customer relationships.


Desired Minimum Qualifications:


Education and Experience:



  • Minimum of 2+ years of college education

  • 2+ years B2B Managed Services | Saas | Technology sales experience

  • Effectively managed accountability quotas, monthly

  • Proven outside sales success in demand generation


Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Ability to set new prospect appointments.

  • Hunting skills, prospecting, networking, lead generation.

  • Strong oral and technical presentation skills to all audience levels.

  • Effective funnel management.

  • Ability to overcome objections; close deals within 10-30 days.

  • Ability and knowledge to control the sales process.

  • Adaptable communication style with prospects and internal leadership.

  • Outstanding track record in achieving targeted sales results.

  • Has the ability to accurately forecast business and meet or exceed assigned sales quotas.

  • Utilizes solution selling and account management techniques to maximize the business relationship and opportunities with targeted companies within the territory.

  • Understands the business elements supporting in direct sales and service business.

  • Organized, highly self-managed and self-starting.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, selling and negotiation skills, and time management skills.

  • Takes responsibility & ownership for data integrity and accuracy of work products.

  • Creative with business planning and implementing sales initiatives.

  • Customer focused (internal & external) and responsive to customer and company requirements.


Driving/Travel Requirements:



  • This job requires over 50% of driving.
