Introduction to the team

Application Developers at Moss Adams are responsible for developing business application software built on the broad suite of Microsoft development tools with a particular emphasis on C#, JavaScript and SQL Server. The Application Developer will have broad knowledge and competency in the Microsoft tool suite and use these tools to architect effective and efficient solutions. They will also adopt and code to any technology standards prevailing in Information Technology (IT). The position will involve working as part of a technical team that will include Project Managers, Business Analysts, Testers and other Developers.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop web applications or standalone desktop solutions using C# and other Microsoft technologies using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability

  • Code manual or automated tests for application being developed and collaborate with QA to facilitate all phases of testing

  • Develop a solid understanding of the Moss Adams product architecture and standards. Maintain and contribute to platform as necessary

  • Design SQL database objects (tables, stored procedures, views, ETL, etc) to support applications being developed

  • Maintain and support products after release to customers

  • Contribute to building consensus among different teams working on software development projects

  • Facilitate discussions among other .NET and database developer to exchange new ideas and improvements

  • Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities that can be used to strengthen the Moss Adams technology platform and development approach


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in computer science or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience required; experience in a professional services environment preferred

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Experience with C#, JavaScript, and SQL Service preferred

  • Demonstrate proficiency with GUI development using HTML

  • Demonstrate knowledge of ADO.NET, TSQL and stored procedure development

  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Experience with Software Testing and Automation (Unit, System, Integration, Functional, Performance)

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others

  • Self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills

  • Effective time management and organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing numerous project/processes often under tight deadlines

  • Proven commitment to providing exceptional client service, and foster a high degree of end user satisfaction through the delivery of quality and timely service

  • Ability to convey technical issues and material to non-technical audience

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
