As a Security Systems Embedded Project Engineer, you will be an expert in designing for electronic security installation projects. You should understand how to protect people and facilities by implementing security standards. You should be able to apply design standards to new build designs as the customer's technical representative.
Essential Responsibilities and Activities Include but are Not Limited to:
- Responsible for development and oversight of electronic security designs
- Work with a team of other design engineers and computer aided design technicians
- Act as the technical interface between the program managers and security vendors
- Manage multiple design projects concurrently
- Review the security design and make sure it meets customer standards
- Schedule and manage weekly coordination calls with the security team to make sure the design is delivered on time
Specific position requirements are as follows:
- This is a hybrid location position. Candidate must report to the local office at least 3 days per week. The other days can be worked remotely.
- Must have 5+ years of security design experience
- Must be well versed in security technology and security design practices
- Engineering degree is a plus
- PMP certification is a plus
- PSP certification is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
- Experience with Smartsheet and PlanGrid are a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Have finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
