Talent Acquisition at BD

The Talent Acquisition team globally hire approx. 12,000 associates a year across sales, marketing, engineering, clinical, functional, and manufacturing roles based across over 70 countries. Operating as a Centre of Excellence within the HR organization, approx. 200 recruiting professionals are responsible for sourcing, attraction, business partnering, candidate management, employer branding and operational efficiency to attract top talent to BD. Operating a hybrid model, with both outsourced RPO and in-house models, a key part of this role will be driving towards a One Team and global approach.

About the role

As the Global TA Technology Experience Designer, you will be accountable for designing, revising, and implementing, technologically streamlined workflows globally to support BD’s daily recruiting operations. The main focus is to ensure the TA technology infrastructure works seamlessly and enhances all end users’ experiences (internal/external candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers).

Partnering closely with internal process owners TA, HR Solutions, Technology and Global Solutions, HR, Business and Functional Leadership, you’ll be a strong influencer with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities with strong organizational change experience.

The role offers flexibility to work remotely in the United States or Poland.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Create detailed design flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate your design concepts to a broad range of colleagues and end users
  • Proactively identify usability concerns within the design/configuration recommendations provided by internal collaborators and designers
  • Creates design recommendations focused on achieving consistency and cohesiveness whenever practicable between regional technology designs and business process configurations
  • Partners with the HR solutions teams to resolve TA technology business process issues globally to include recommendation on remediation designs that are impactful to the end user experience
  • Maintains a working and documented knowledge of Talent Acquisition (TA) technology infrastructure to include a clear understanding of technology integration capabilities
  • Analyzes, identifies, and reports on global and regional technology design opportunities to support recruiting workflow efficiencies.
  • Direct responsibility for socializing identified design recommendation to all required team members inclusive of supporting execution with TA regional leads, HR Solutions, and/or Technology and Global Solutions team members to include supervising completion and outcomes

About you:

To be successful in this role, you require…

  • Ability to distill sophisticated problems into simple and elegant experiences for a range of users across mobile and web platforms
  • Interest in collaborating and establishing relationships with internal collaborators, analyst, and external product management and engineering teams if applicable
  • Proven observational analysis skills, ability to comprehend technical HR related systems architecture coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience working with recruiting and people-related tools and systems, including resume databases and other Internet/Social sourcing tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, GlassDoor, etc.).
  • Ability to deliver results with little supervision in a highly dynamic, and ambiguous working environment.
  • Able to proactively share progress, risks, and recommendations while seeking guidance, direction, approvals, as required.
  • Experience working in a mid-large size global organization

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of user design and technical project management experience
  • 2-4 years of user design experience
  • Workday experience
  • ATS post-production support

Experience preferred:

  • Consultative experiences in talent acquisition operations, global perspectives, project management covering candidate experience/service, systems, data management and reporting.
  • ATS configuration experience
