Technical Service Engineer

Summary:

We're expanding our highly trained and well-equipped technical services team to accommodate our 1,100+ university sites and our rapid growth. Image Access, Inc. is a successful, 30-year-old software developer and hardware manufacturer conveniently located at Congress Ave & I-95 (5 minutes from the FAU campus). The candidate will receive both hardware and software training on Image Access products and provide technical service and support in the US and Canada in our spacious headquarters office and on-site at hundreds of America s prestigious colleges and universities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide remote installation, training and support for existing customers via email, phone and remote login
• Travel onsite for installations and repairs, and to train librarians and students on new features and functions and why they are important
• Carefully record problems, resolutions and related details as well as all customer communications into our CRM system
• Recommend hardware and software upgrades & improvements
• Collaborate with team members to share knowledge of issues and corresponding resolutions/workarounds.
• Always be productive when on-the-clock when customer issues are not keeping you busy, perform tasks such as assisting with final setup of new systems for shipping; and when traveling, write and organize your reporting and write your expense reports

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years previous experience in software, computers, IT, customer service, or related fields
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Confidence in working with PC software, networks, system setup & support
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Respect for policies & procedures
• Good strength & good posture, including ability to regularly lift 50 lbs
