About Our Client
Our client, a world renowned distribution company of world-class products, has operations globally and a significant and growing presence in the US. The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the VP of Finance and partner with leaders across multiple disciplines and business units.
Job Description
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, financial planning, and variance analysis of performance of current business units
- Collect, analyze, and consolidate financial data making recommendations to increase financial performance
- Provide financial analysis of sales trends, profitability, key drivers, and operational and financial performance
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Category Management, Operations, Strategy, etc. to gather information to contribute to financial analysis
- Perform analysis to support strategic decision making for current product lines and business units
- Perform analysis to inform Senior Leaders in business expansion efforts including mergers and acquisitions, product line expansions, etc.
- Present financial status for monthly, quarterly, and annual meeting with Senior Leaders during business unit reviews
- Ad hoc analysis as requested

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1+ years of experience in Finance
- Logistics, transportation, or distribution industry experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
