Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Introduction, and Continuous Improvement

Job Description

As a Senior Industrial Engineer you will:

• Be responsible for evaluating, designing and implementing manufacturing processes and systems that efficiently make products or provide services.
• Design, redesign or enhance work areas and layouts defining optimal use of resources related to space utilization and materials flow.
• Implement motion and time studies, apply data analysis for problem solving and process improvement creating standardized work.
• Utilize Lean Six sigma methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste and reduce variation in order to increase productivity, improve efficiencies, reduce cycle time, lead time and cost.
• Use drafting tools and techniques aided by computer-assisted design software to create the layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency.
• Develop best practices and process documentation.
• Collaborate with global engineering initiatives to implement automation and support deployment of manufacturing execution systems (MES)
• Lead, coach and facilitate high impact & high complexity projects.
• Help develop a best in class continuous improvement program evangelizing the lean six sigma culture
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering
• Lean Six Sigma training and knowledge
• Onsite support
• Demonstrated skills in solving complex technical problems
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, solid engineering skills for process mapping, problem solving, and analytical thinker.
• Strong Project management
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• 7 years of experience in electronics manufacturing and warehouse environments
• Layout design software application (AutoCAD or similar)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
