Team Lead - DevOps Engineer

Direct Hire

Hybrid work onsite / remote (mostly remote)

Target Pay $150k - $167k annual base salary

Job Description

In this role, you will lead a team of DevOps engineers working to support, grow, and improve the AWS cloud automated CI/CD processes while also ensuring that the software development deployments push to the cloud seamlessly. Mentor and Train others on best practices. Take the lead guiding software engineering on feature implementations. Work with both infrastructure and software development teams. Lead site reliability and security best practices, managing the relationship between operations and engineering teams. Work with architectural DevOps implementations and technologies. Will need indepth experience working with AWS services and load balancers. Company is in the commercial and residential security and access industry.

Required Skills

• 8+ years DevOps experience:
• Creating CI/CD automated pipelines working with AWS
• Experience working with Kubernetes and clusters (and what is happening in the clusters)
• EC2, Loadbalancers, S3, Route53 and similar
• Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Terraform
• Jenkins, Gitlab and similar automated release pipelines
• Experience as a team lead for DevOps.
• Site Reliability Engineering experience
• Experience with programming scripting tools: Python, Go, or Ruby
• Messaging ques: Kafka, Kinesis
• Experience with designing and implementing service provider environments such as Paas, Iaas, Saas, xSP and similar
