As a Principal Solutions Architect for Resilience, you will guide the design and evolution of our consumer-facing micro services ecosystem into a more fault-tolerant future. Our consumers expect our Digital experiences to keep working when things go sideways under the hood, and you will be responsible for crafting the vision, the guidelines, and the tooling to make that happen. We run a large, distributed, and ever-changing system supported by a large, distributed, and ever-changing organization. We help write the future, defining technology that is adaptable, where systems can detect and heal from failures, and where developers can still focus on crafting extraordinary features and applications to power our Digital experience. The successful candidate is a confirmed architect with excellent communication and relationship-building skills and enjoys finding simplicity in the heart of complexity. WHAT YOU BRING?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 8+ years of experience in a software development highly scalable web applications environment.
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical lead software architect.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience in micro service architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful Services, using languages such as Java, Node, or Scala.
  • Experience with distributed data stores, such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in web technologies and application stacks, particularly around service discovery, routing, and edge caching.
  • Experience adapting to technical and solutions architecture to meet the needs of an evolving revenue-generating business.
  • Experience pulling together diverse individuals with different goals and facilitate productive discussions.
  • Remote Work Option Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate

For employees based in Colorado, this position has an annual base salary range of 163,000 - 269,500.

For employees based in NYC and Westchester County, NY, this position has an annual base salary range of 193,500 - 321,000.
