Scheduler (HealthCare)

Job Summary: Coordinate the schedules of caregivers to produce maximum efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • High school diploma or GED acceptable.

  • Must demonstrate competency through education, experience or approved by supervisor.

Competency/Skill Requirements:

Knowledgeable and able to demonstrate competency in personal care service. Oversee the schedule of employees and accountability of employees. Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Position Physical Demands:

Walking, sitting, standing, lifting of items not expected to exceed 20 lbs in weight. Potential for extended time periods at a computer screen.

Key responsibilities and Duties:

The Scheduler (Health Care) will be responsible for:

  • Receive and respond to incoming calls from clients, caregivers, and client referral sources with the highest level of customer service

  • Scheduling caregiver services with our clients and their families to meet the plan of care or specific request for hours

  • Find coverage for caregiver that call in or need schedule changes

  • Promoting growth necessary to support company objectives

  • Actively participates in weekly strategic planning meetings or company in-services

  • Assist Program Supervisor and Administrator with overflow work load

  • Demonstrating effective time and management skills

  • Maintain the best relationship possible with other staff to promote high employee job satisfaction

  • Ensure that the documentation of services provided is accurate and timely

  • Participate in activities relevant to services furnished, including the development of qualifications and assignment of agency personnel;

  • Ensure that a client's plan of care is executed as written

  • Understand that if no one else is available to work a caregiver shift in home that the scheduling supervisor would be required to go.
