TRC's client is a multidisciplinary design firm who is looking for a QA/QC Manager to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
• Review construction documents at SD, DD and CD phases for Quality Control / Quality Assurance and coordination among disciplines/trades
• Generate marked up plans & specs using Word, Excel and BlueBeam to communicate QA/QC comments to Project Managers/Project Architects and Design teams.
• Work with Project Managers (PMs) and Project Architects (PAs) to confirm that check lists and other ready-to-use resources are being used during design to assist & support the QA/QC effort and avoid design errors and unnecessary rework.
• Track projects to ensure that QA/QC reviews are completed on each project at the appropriate phase of design (SD, DD, CDs).
• Work with our CAD manager to enhance and further develop our REVIT library of standard details for use in construction documents
• Work with CA Team, Technical Director and Studio Representatives to develop firm-wide and studio-specific graphic standards for construction documentation.
• Work with Technical and Design Directors to develop Quality Assurance and Quality Control Review processes and content.

Qualifications:
• Degree in architecture, engineering or building construction or equivalent experience
• 8-10+ years’ experience working for architecture firms, engineering firms or construction companies
• Architectural registration / license or Professional Engineer license preferred
• CSI, CDT, DDA or CCS preferred
• Experience with CAD and/or REVIT to draft standard details when necessary.
• Experience with BlueBeam
• Knowledgeable of construction systems and practices (wood frame, steel, concrete, etc.)
