Blue Origin LLC
Seattle, Washington
Engine Avionics Architect

We are a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.

In this role, you will provide strategic technical leadership in the creation, management and execution of the technology and product roadmaps for Blue Origin's engine control/avionics subsystems (electronic hardware, software, instrumentation, harnessing, control law/scheme). This role will facilitate technology development risk reduction ahead of program need while also establishing longer-term alignment to an overarching system and architecture that maximizes re-use, where possible, to accelerate schedule and reduce risk. This will require partnering with partners in Engines (program and engineering teams) and Chief Engineering while collaborating with broader Blue Origin avionics teams for strategic technology and avionics product alignment.

Additionally, you will support programs in architectural decisions and addressing critical issues and risks.

As a technical leader, you will also support gated reviews of development programs (Architectural Concept Review, Systems Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, etc).

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
