The Future Air Systems and Technology (FAST) Team within the Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) has the need for a Senior Operations Analyst with current air domain knowledge and experience, who is interested in working difficult problems at the front end of the business. This analyst will assist in the delivery of customer-focused constructive analysis as well as modeling and simulation to address a variety of capability gaps by providing guidance derived from active duty operational experience. This position will be based out of St. Louis MO or Arlington VA.



The VWC is responsible for producing Family of Systems constructive and virtual analysis for future aircraft and weapons systems. Observations derived from the analysis will be used to inform BDS investments and drive Phantom Works capture strategy.



External interface with government customers, as well as internal interface with Boeing Business Units, will be required to gather model inputs and share analysis results.



Primary Responsibilities: 



  • Provide multi-domain warfighting knowledge from operational experience to analyses

  • Assist other analysts with developing Concept of Operations (CONOPs), Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and relevant scenarios

  • Serve as a simulator pilot for testing and execution of virtual experiments

  • Collaborate with government customers as well as internal Boeing Business Units to gather model inputs and share analysis results



This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.



This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required.



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):



  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Experience as aircrew in combat aircraft



Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):



  • Graduate of U.S. Air Force Weapons School, U.S. Navy Top Gun, or U.S. Marine Corps MAWTS-1

  • Operational joint campaign planning experience

  • Experience developing CONOPs and TTPs



Typical Education and Experience: 


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.

Summary pay range (Berkeley MO): $147,050 – $198,950


Summary pay range (Arlington VA): $157,250- $212,750"
