As a software engineer focused on the backend, you will contribute to the design and development of back-end applications built on top of Cloud technologies for best-in-class Cloud Native applications.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in design, development and deployment transition of APIs and/or microservices to integrate across multiple new and existing mobile and web applications
- Develop web portals and integration services using modern technology platforms and frameworks such as NodeJS, Kubernetes, Serverless Functions, and Typescript
- Play an active role in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of architecture, design patterns, platform, and tools.
- Collaborate with other team members across engineering, DevOps, product, customer support, operations, and others
What you bring to the table:
- Bringing 2-4 years of software development experience or relevant transferable skills
- Highly skilled with modern development technologies used to design, deliver, debug, and maintain back-end software systems
- 2 years experience writing back-end JavaScript applications using Node and Express, Python (or equivalent technologies)
- Experience building well-tested applications
- Experience with APIs and microservice patterns using Kubernetes a plus
- Experience with modern relational and non-relational database platforms
- Experience with Git (and Git-Flow patterns)
- Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and self-motivated
- Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment
- Experience with Firebase, Firestore, and Istio a plus
