The Lead Enterprise Architect for the Enterprise API and Integration (EAI) team will be in charge of analyzing latest trends in integration technology space and driving the strategy and technical roadmap for the integration products/platforms. The Lead Enterprise Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

Lead Enterprise Architect will be part of the EAI engineering team and will be responsible for driving the strategy, vision, and product/platform roadmap of existing active integration platforms such as APIGEE, IBM API Connect, SnapLogic, IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM Datapower etc. Partner with IT customers in various domains to understand the business and IT strategy and develop an integration product/platform roadmap to achieve the desired outcomes. Provides leadership and continuously align the integration platforms roadmap based on a deep understanding of the market / industry, insights & data from consumers, and input from stakeholders across the organization. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, and prioritizing the integration platforms backlog according to business value.
  • Explain the why and what of integration platform new features to product owners, stakeholders, engineers, testers, and operations teams.
  • Monitor and track product/platform feedback in support of work planning, prioritization, and execution of development product/platform releases.
  • Direct and lead creation of functional and non-functional integration platform feature descriptions aligned on business and technical goals by actively participating in backlog prioritization.
  • Communicate integration platform backlog priorities to the team.
  • Act as the key decision-maker regarding what features the integration platforms will have.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Defines, collaborates with other teams in capture of platform technical KPIs; produce and publish KPI reports to business and technology stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead or technical product/platform architect/owner in large IT projects spanning multiple enterprise systems
  • 10 or more years design, development, and testing of software applications
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of integration principles, solutions, and platforms
  • 6-8 years of software development experience
  • 3-4 years of technical product/platform ownership experience
  • Worked with different Integration platforms such as APIGEE, IBM API Connect, IBM Datapower, IBM App Connect Enterprise, SnapLogic and integration patterns
  • Familiar with APIs and Event driven Architecture and how to implement this on a large scale in an Enterprise
  • Deep understanding of public cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Experience managing product backlogs using Agile software tools such as JIRA, Team Services, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong agile mindset and skilled in planning, prioritizing, execution, and follow ups with cross functional teams
Additional Information
