PURPOSE: Provides the Agency with quality monitoring, safety oversight and supervisory assistance of the Henrico County Mobile Crews and Grounds Maintenance Crews.

DESCRIPTION: Full-time employment for individual who serves as the responsible party for quality assurance and safety functions of Henrico County Mobile Crew and as an assistant to the Operations Supervisor, Project Manager(s) and Director of Commercial Grounds.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors and tracks the quality of crews' daily work efforts (to include thoroughness and timeliness) and, working closely with Crew Leaders, Operations Supervisor, Project Manager(s) and Director as needed. Directs re-work or rescheduling as required.
  • Utilizes quality assurance software to develop, prepare and distribute daily, weekly and other periodic quality reports as appropriate.
  • Analyzes quality trends and advises Operations Supervisor, Project Manager(s) and Director, as needed, of additional training, supervision or other remedial action that may be necessary to improve overall project quality.
  • Investigates and ensures correction of customer complaints regarding quality. Reports resolution to the Operations Supervisor, Project Manager and the Customer.
  • Collaborates to improve occupational and life skill development in individuals with disabilities.
  • Monitors workforce to ensure compliance with proper methods outlined in the Virginia Department of Transportation's Guidelines for Temporary Traffic Control. Directs corrective action as appropriate
  • Assures the safety of employees by monitoring and overseeing the proper use of equipment and adherence to safety policies.
  • Possesses /obtains qualifications and supervises VDOT, OSHA, VOSHA and other regulatory safety compliance.
  • Conducts and documents daily safety briefs prior to dispatch and monthly safety trainings per SOAR365 procedures.
  • Serves on SOAR365's Safety Committee.
  • Assists the Operations Supervisor, Project Manager(s) and Director in developing and implementing schedules, and dispatches crews to provide timely completion of tasks with high quality. Promptly notifies the Operations Supervisor, Project Manager(s) ad Director of any changes or exceptions.
  • Assists the Operations Supervisor, Project Manager(s) and Director with administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Has the authority to direct Commercial Grounds personnel for safety and quality purposes.
  • Maintains an acceptable driving record and immediately notifies the Project Manager(s), Director of Commercial Grounds and VP of Human Resources of any changes to their record.
  • Adheres to all agency policies related to safety, discrimination and sexual harassment, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Agency's Human Rights Plan.
  • Effectively works with volunteers / interns in the business unit to achieve the mission of the organization while providing meaningful opportunities for the volunteer(s) / intern(s) to contribute in a manner they find rewarding. Treating volunteers & interns as valuable members of the SOAR365 team.
  • Follows Commercial Grounds inclement weather policy.
  • Works after hours as occasionally necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: (*Essential Functions)

  • Must have and maintain a DMV record insurable at normal
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent. Quality Assurance and Supervisory experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate light trucks and various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier and fax machine. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling required in the delivery of services and supports. Must be able to travel to the field (outside of the office) in order to deliver services.
