The Business Intelligence Analyst will work with OB/GYN Revenue Cycle Services and Clinical Operations to maximize revenue cycle performance. They will carryout in-depth analysis, provide insight, feedback, and guidance on trends, and provides data necessary to support decision-making, project prioritization, and improvements across the revenue cycle. The ideal applicant will create monthly Epic reports for operations and revenue cycle, perform root cause analysis to identify system issues that may contribute to A/R operation deficiencies and, take part in developing billing improvement initiatives based on areas of opportunity identified through quality audits and other assessments.

Position Location:
OB/GYN Revenue Cycle Services & Clinical Operations
Primarily Remote - *Must be TX Resident (and available for in-person meetings)
Department Location: Operations Center Building OCB @ 1851 Crosspoint Avenue Houston, TX, 77054
Position Key Accountabilities:
Analyze and make recommendations for project implementations and maintenance. Must understand the data available in applicable business systems and be able to write queries. Deliver recommendations, improvement plans, as well as training materials.
Assist in the development and ongoing reporting of performance metrics and benchmarking, keeping our business leaders and key constituents informed of our progress towards business goals.
Supports timely flow of business intelligence information to users by meeting deadlines and being responsive to requests.
Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards or other tools. In addition, maintains excellent documentation of systems and report methodologies. Supports the maintenance of a library of model documents, templates or other reusable knowledge assets.
Communicate with internal customers, suppliers and others to stay abreast of industry or business trends. In addition, use effective communication and problem-solving techniques to facilitate team performance.
Conduct quality testing to ensure accuracy of data reported.
Serves as a liaison between Management and Technology project teams.
Other duties as needed.
Certification/Skills:
Experience defining metrics, dimensions and KPIs on Business Intelligence projects
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access
Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and effectively with prudent judgment and discretion at all times.
Experience with Cognos, Oracle and SQL database reporting tools
Experience in working with large volumes of data preferred.
Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in Science, Business or related field required.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of system analysis, technical design, development and/or implementation experience, which includes 1 year of experience working with healthcare operations strongly preferred. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
