Description The job profile for this position is Solution Train Engineering, which is a Band 4 IT Project Management Senior Advisor Individual Career Track Role. The Solution Train Engineer s (STE) primary purpose is to lead and coordinate a large solution across multiple Agile Release Trains (ART) to deliver working software, focus on agile adoption, and drive continuous delivery practices in a large, complex environment. This includes: Leading and managing RTEs and scrum masters within a large solution Dependency management within and across multiple ART s Facilitating solution ceremonies Tracking and mitigating risk Leading continuous improvement efforts Coaching the ARTs on Agile best practices Key Responsibilities Facilitates and supports the work of the Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in the Solution Train Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the Solution Train using various tools Facilitates Pre- and Post-Program Increment (PI) Planning to coordinate and integrate the outcomes of PI Planning across ARTs and delivery teams Aggregates Program PI Objectives into Solution PI Objectives Facilitates any necessary communication between delivery groups Drives continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt (I&A) at the Solution layer Encourages collaboration between System Architects and Solution Architects, User Experience, and Engineers Reports progress against milestones and supports activities related to Portfolio and Program Management Partner with and support stakeholders and teams in delivering valuable solution demos for stakeholders Ensure alignment and support management of dependencies across delivery teams Escalates, track and support remediation of impediments and risks across ARTs that may contribute to delays or missed delivery of commitments Helps with strategy and execution alignment working with Solution Management, Product Management, and stakeholders Encourages and facilitates Solution-level continuous integration and communities of practice for Quality, Engineering, SAFe, Agile, and Lean Facilitate decision making regarding priorities, trade-offs, including proposing what if scenarios for decision making when competing priorities exist Required Experience/Qualifications 5-8 years experience managing software delivery; strong IT application development & leadership background Proven track record of delivering on large scale or multiple initiatives Experience with all aspects of the delivery, including planning, features/user stories, design, and delivery execution Proven ability to coach and develop team members and stakeholders on Agile practices and behaviors Desired Experience/Qualifications 5-8 years experience as RTE, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Program Manager Servant leader and strong communicator with strong interpersonal skill Experience applying Lean Thinking and Systems Thinking in large organizations Experience with Lean Portfolio Management procedures and ceremonies up to the Portfolio level Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban Experience with using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in a large solution preferred If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 118,200 - 197,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
