The Program Support Specialist will:

  • actively recruit to provide a continuous flow of SLP Homes into the training and certification process through attending community events and networking
  • with other KVC staff, meet with families to assess their skills and needs as well as ensure their full compliance with DHHS regulations
  • secure placements by developing positive working relationships with referral sources including facilitating pre-placement visits to make long-lasting placement matches
  • work with training department to set up special trainings for providers on topics related to providing care of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field is preferred.
  • Exception to education requirement may be considered with relevant and significant personal and/or professional experience.
  • Two plus years of Developmental Disabilities, Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, and/or Mental Health Assessment and Treatment experience.
  • Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license and car insurance.
