Harvest Roasting serves as the supplier to all of our coffeehouse locations, including corporate and franchise owned, providing weekly product deliveries of the vast majority of products needed for daily business. LOCATION

This position may be performed remotely, from anywhere in the United States. Scooters Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate can expect infrequent travel to Omaha, NE, where Scooters Coffee is headquartered.

DESCRIPTION

The Site Design Manager will oversee research and development of site layouts for all upcoming franchise and corporate sites being presented for internal approval. Successful candidates will be responsible for leading a team of designers as well as the hands on designing of site plans. This role will become the subject matter expert on Scooters site design standards and maintain written documentation of these standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Manage site feasibility and due diligence investigations on proposed premises and preparing preliminary site plan layout studies.
  
• Maintain database of potential locations as provided by Real Estate team to assist in determining site feasibility.
• 
  Oversee collection of Due Diligence on potential sites including but not limited to, Zoning verification, Flood maps, property tax maps, Site setbacks, Building requirements and Drive-thru requirements.
• 
  Review layouts to ensure they fall within Scooters brand guidelines and balance functionality with existing site constraints.
• 
  Assist Real Estate and Pre-Development Managers with site revisions and obtaining corporate approval of site layout revisions.

Conduct site design reviews with internal business partners (Real Estate, Pre-Development, Construction, Operations, Technology) to ensure programmatic requirements are achieved, site specific revisions are communicated to consultants, and consultants are held accountable for implementation.

  Stay up to date on Scooters operational requirements and design standards.

Work closely with the Pre-Development and Real Estate Managers to continue to improve and integrate process and systems.

  Direct, organize, develop, and manage site design standards with the goal of maintaining consistent project quality while promoting efficient communication within the project team.
• 
  Coordinate training and implementation of site design guidelines with internal team members and external consultants (corporate and franchisee).

• 
  
  Manage change process and strategize the release of regularly scheduled updates to site design guidelines, scope of work documents, templates, drawings, specifications and cut sheets.
• 
  Lead communication and training of external consultants on our site design standards and highlight brand changes as they happen.
  
• Maintain consultant network for due diligence deliverables, landscape architects, and civil engineers.
• 
  Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  BS degree in civil or environmental engineering, landscape architecture, planning, urban planning, or related field.
• 
  Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex design issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
• 
  Proficiency in AutoCAD and laying out of site plans for drive-thru concept
• 
  High level of expertise with Smartsheet as a project management system
• 
  Ability to scope, plan, execute, and track projects with autonomy
• 
  Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work remotely with sufficient home office space
