Senior Project Engineer Specialist Description Senior Project Engineer Specialist Bell Flight in Fort Worth, TX has an opening for a Senior Project Engineer Specialist to join the Build Team on the FARA (Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft) Program. This role will manage projects and provide support throughout product development, supply chain activities, component fabrication, and aircraft assembly. Skills indata analytics, manufacturing strategy development, and aircraft assembly are a plus. Position Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and lead projects leveraging skills to manage all project elements including scope, schedule, resources, cost, risk, and quality. Identify improvements to the build support processes and take initiative to implement changes within the immediate team and across the program. Manage projects for the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, develop program build schedules, and integrate program build and design activities. Support strategy development as it applies to future factory, program quality plan, and future manufacturing execution systems to support program ramp up. Lead cross functional team to execute the material plan for a major portion of the aircraft from design through purchasing and material management lifecycle. Develop strategy for integrating supply base with internal factory including interface with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved. Become a subject matter expert on Bell systems (SAP, ENOVIA, etc.) to support strategy development for developmental program business architecture. Provide estimates, earned value reporting, assist with aligning budgets, and support other related financial planning activities. Apply expertise in manufacturing technologies related to airframe, rotor systems, drive systems, electrical/mechanical systems, aircraft assembly, and/or tooling. Operate effectively and establish appropriate priorities under ambiguous conditions in a fast-paced environment with numerous concurrent activities. Develop risk mitigation plans and solutions as issues arise to avert schedule impacts to the build of developmental aircraft. Interpret program, build, and material metrics and translate this information into actionable activities to ensure program success. Provide status and present data to the program manager, build team manager, and chief engineer for assigned projects and other support activities. Qualifications Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or related discipline Position Requirements: At least 5 years of project engineering experience in aerospace, manufacturing, product development, or related industry.
