Freese and Nichols is searching for an Senior Communications Specialist in any of our locations across the Southeast or Southwest US. As Senior Communications Specialist you will create internal and external communications, manage projects, and develop targeted public relations campaigns. Serve as communications expert to technical staff and corporate leadership Write feature articles about projects, people and technical topics Serve as a platform manager (social media, web, intranet) Develop and oversee communications plans and campaigns Manage projects with multiple stakeholders, contributors or vendors if necessary Plan and execute crisis communications Report Freese and Nichols news, finding newsworthy stories and presenting them in a strategic way Coordinate media relations, including press releases Interview technical staff, corporate leaders, and clients Work with subject matter experts to produce thought leadership articles on technical topics Edit and proofread content in accordance with style guide Conduct research using internal and external resources Contribute to other areas of marketing and sales when needed Understand Freese and Nichols style and graphics standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or other related discipline 9 years' experience of communications experience (or 8 years' experience plus one or more of the certifications below) Preferred Experience in the Architecture, Engineer and Construction (AEC) industry Professional certification, such as Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) or Communication Management Professional (CMP) At Freese and Nichols, everyone on our team gets to make a meaningful difference in our communities.
