Financial Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity open for a Financial Analyst based near our office in Yarmouth, ME or our offices in Fort Smith/Little Rock, AR with the ability to work 100% remote.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will serve a key role in supporting Business Development and FP&A activities at Peaks Renewables HoldCo, LLC (“Peaks”). As a direct report to the company’s Manager of Finance, this position will be responsible for supporting the financial analytics and project economics of the company. This position will also support other critical business functions such as project feasibility analysis and merger and acquisition due diligence, as well as have forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting responsibilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform financial analysis of new investments and related valuation modeling, developing sensitivities of varying development scenarios and outcomes
Assist with development of Risk Management Committee presentations, regular corporate data reporting, C-team, and Board presentations
Facilitate the coordination of Peaks’ annual budget process and quarterly reforecasts for all growth capital projects to ensure alignment with corporate objectives; Similarly, assists with the 5-year growth plan with the business development team
Design, develop, and implement methods and strategies to continually improve financial models and processes
Assist with due diligence and help shepherd acquisition opportunities through internal approval process and external sales processes
Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of energy, business, finance, and economic theory
Work with other members of the Summit and Peaks teams to ensure that projects are developed on time and on budget across both RNG and H2 projects
Represent Peaks and Summit Utilities to various external counterparties at meetings, conferences, and other external engagements
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis or reporting tasks in support of the financial performance of the Company
Perform monthly revenue performance analysis
P&L responsibility for renewables business unit
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics
Three years of finance or business analysis experience including the development of advanced integrated financial models
Energy/Utility industry experience is a plus
MBA with a Finance specialization is a plus
Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Consulting experience is a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong competencies in corporate valuation techniques, financial modeling, forecasting, and business development
Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis with the proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts and data in an understandable manner to all levels of management and staff
Demonstrated success in consulting effectively with all levels of management including executives; Must possess the ability to influence others without direct position power to earn credibility and trust.
Must be able to manage multiple work streams and be capable of succeeding across a diverse portfolio of projects and responsibilities
Business partnering mentality
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and meticulous analytical capability
Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office suites of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining an even-keel approach and commitment to deadlines
