Profile Summary

Voya Financial is looking to hire an Experience Designer to join a growing team in our customer experience division.

Profile Description
  • Assist Sr. team members in working with Voya IT s EDU team and business partners to implement strategies and interactions that will improve the performance, usability, and effectives of our customer-facing interfaces.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications that describe the user experience to stakeholders and direct development activities from inception to implementation.
  • Follow user-centered design principles to produce high-quality designs that cater to today s users and their expectations.
  • Understand and contribute to business objectives and user research to help set direction for digital properties.
  • Effectively use research and business feedback to iteratively refine, and evolve design solutions.
  • Collaborate with other user experience services designers, researchers, and/or external vendors to constantly refine our process, methods, and best-practices.
  • Demonstrate a passion for and create designs that are simple, elegant, useful, and usable.
  • Understand different form factors (smartphone, tablet, desktop) and how to appropriately design using both responsive and fluid design principles.
  • Ensure everything we produce is in line with our brand standards and get the necessary approvals for extending our design patterns.
  • With assistance of Sr. staff, understand the needs of our users and business partners to help deploy a strategic vision that will enable Voya to grow.
  • With assistance from Sr. team members, apply skills to multiple work streams and requests to deliver world class experiences to our users.
  • Work within a growing EDU team to help fulfill our vision and partner with others.
  • Be an advocate for the end user and an ambassador for the Voya brand.
Knowledge & Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience as an Experience Designer for consumer facing applications or websites working on digital projects.
  • Bachelor s degree in interaction design, industrial design, human factors, graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing a consistently high level of attention to detail on multiple efforts.
  • Understanding and experience working with agile methods and teams.
  • Usability accreditation with facilitation and reporting skill sets a plus.
Expertise In The Following Software And Applications Is Required
  • Microsoft VISIO (or similar) Wireframe, design specifications, and simple prototypes
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Adobe Fireworks / Photoshop / Illustrator Design mockups and comps
  • Strongly Desired - TechSmith Morae Usability testing suite
