1) Occupational Summary:
Provide engineering support to resolve engineering issues that arise during manufacturing and assembly processes, spares, quality inspection and field service, through the application of engineering and design principles under minimum direction.
Work location: Hybrid with 2 days a week remote available, other work days onsite at the Gainesville, TX office location
Must reside within commuting distance from employer's Gainesville, TX office
Flexible work arrangements such as 9/80 schedule are available in combination with remote working.
Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):
A) Liaise with internal and external customers to provide long term engineering solutions of issues observed recurrently.
B) Coordinate creation of engineering documents, submittals and on-time approval to support production for Ship sets 3 and On.
C) Performs DFMEA for long term solutions of recurrent issues.
D) Solve day-to-day complex engineering issues and questions presented in the manufacturing lines.
E) Provide long term solutions for engineering problems on manufacturing line.
F) Coordinate design reviews
G) Active member of the Material Review Board to review and disposition non-conformance articles.
H) Reviews design specifications and incorporate into assigned product.
I) Follows design standards to maintain commonality with existing product line.
J) Prepares check lists.
K) Reviews structural sub-assemblies and drawings to assure conformance to requirements.
L) Reviews drawings and complete ECN's to correct or complete production drawing package.
M) Reviews and dispositions Material Review Records.
N) Identify preventive actions of design concerns presented on the production line.
O) Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers.
P) Performs other duties as assigned.

Job RequirementsQualification Requirements:
A) Knowledge and Skills:
i) Must have excellent drafting skills in CADAM, Pro/Engineer and CATIA.
ii) Must have very good understanding of sheet metal and machining process. (injection mold and composite design experience is a plus)
iii) Must have extensive technical knowledge of the different phases of engineering applicable to the seat products.
iv) Must be cognizant of the current standards of the aircraft industry and warrant specifications including FAA and CAA/JAA rules applicable to the product.
v) Must have manufacturing interface experience with the total company capabilities in processes and controls.
vi) Must possess good planning and prioritizing skills.
B) Education and Experience:
i) Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronica Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Energy Engineering, and Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree).
ii) At least 9 years of related experience required.
OR
iii) Must have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related Master's degree.
iv) At least 7 years of related experience is required.
