UnspecifiedThe Collins Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) organization is currently leading the Connected Ecosystem strategic pillar for Collins Aerospace.
The primary responsibility of the candidate is to manage engineering's execution of projects supporting Digital Transformation.
In doing so, the candidate will coordinate the activities performed by a small cross-functional engineering team, evolving solutions from stakeholder needs while exploring opportunities, documenting requirements, designing, developing, verifying and validating.The CAS Program and Ecosystem (P&E) Engineering team partners closely with the customer program business team to develop integrated product and service solutions and drive execution of government, commercial, and business aviation programs.
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering professional with highly developed technical expertise to support strategic planning and optimize implementation and performance for complex programs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Develops project plans, schedules, and budgets for complex programs, and recommends appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to the established project plan, schedule, and budget.Monitors financial performance of the engineering programs and develops corrective action plans to address financial performance gaps.Develops designs, work specifications, forecasts, and select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors to optimize performance.Supports respective business unit in defining strategic plans for complex programs to ensure that the organization's objectives and business target are achieved.Understands and communicates job schedule to all project team members to ensure timely completion of projects.Identifies and reacts to project problems and leads solutions, such as reallocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
Assists in developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives for escalated problems.Reviews and presents plans and progress reports relating to project value-stream strategy, progress, and results.Flawlessly executes all phases of programs from inception through completion.Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.Directs the work of employees assigned on projects in technical and administrative areas.Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.Meets program schedules and budgets and maintains the integrated master schedules for project(s).Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Technical Project Managers, Value Stream leaders, Product Line teams, User Experience, DPLC, DevOps, and Cybersecurity.Willingness to travel approximately 20%Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be a U.S.
