Overview




The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) is seeking a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Administrator to work across the organization to optimize organizational culture, align the organization's diversity and inclusion goals with strategic plan outcomes, and respond to changes or policies that occur outside of the organization that impact culture. The HR Administrator-DEI will also develop and implement the organization's diversity strategies to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace. The nature of work will include, but is not limited to the following:

    Develops, recommends, and executes strategies to foster Cuyahoga DD's diversity goals.
  • Reviews current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support Cuyahoga DD's diversity goals and recommend necessary changes.
  • Collects and analyzes statistical data to evaluate Cuyahoga DD's staff and people served in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
  • Assists in developing and implementing recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds. Creates and secures training and development opportunities to assist with retention.
  • Conducts exit interviews with staff leaving the organization and shares information accordingly with executives to address systemic concerns.
  • Provides guidance to supervisory and human resources staff in developing objective performance and other employee evaluations and policies.
  • Monitors and responds to various feedback from staff across multiple topics.
  • Acts as liaison with government agencies concerning affirmative action and equal employment opportunities.
  • Maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
  • Provides training and policy updates to colleagues and staff, ensuring legal compliance of management and human resources staff.
  • Assists with implementing employee engagement activities to promote a unified culture
  • Assists with implementing customer service strategies to ensure Cuyahoga DD continues to provide excellent customer service.

SALARY: The actual starting salary will be based on knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and qualifications.






Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Diversity Studies or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least five years of Human Resources and/or Diversity and/or related experience required.
  • At least three years' specializing in equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity programs, preferred.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license and an excellent driving record.
