Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define the engineering culture at and what it means to be an engineer on the team
• Establish engineering-wide structure, processes, and systems.
• Run the development team as Scrum Master and communicate technical situations to non-technical people clearly and concisely.
• Become the full-stack anchor for the development team where the buck stops with you. Know the system inside and out and be able to be hands on with development and devops.
• Substantial experience developing a product while concurrently figuring out what the product is

Requirements

• Principal engineer who can and is willing to roll up their sleeves and code themselves
• 10+ years engineering experience
• At least 2+ years of management experience
• A heavy proponent of Agile methodology, specifically a Scrum implementation with experience as a Scrum Master
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Substantial experience with web development, React, serverless architecture, SQL, NoSQL, Node.js, AWS, CI/CD, TDD, BDD
• Smart Contract experience

Preferred

• Fast paced start-up and/or scaling experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and engineers
• Mobile app development experience
• NextJS experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
