IT Manager

Position Summary:  

The primary focus of this position will be managing a group of 4-5 system administrators, while also being responsible for the support and well-being of the company's technology. This position requires hands-on support of both on-site and remote employees, leading your team by example. If you are a person that likes to drive technical direction while leading others along the way, this position is for you.

This position is based out of our US headquarters in Alpharetta, GA. While occasional remote work is allowed, it is expected that most days you will be in the office working with the rest of the team, supporting remote and on-site co-workers. This position works normal office hours, however there will occasionally be a need for after-hours and weekend work to fit in with project demands.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Manage a group of 4-5 system administrators whose primary focus is supporting our IT infrastructure for our US operations.
  • Identify short term priorities and forecast longer-term initiatives.
  • Perform duties in a highly professional manner, always considering costs and approach.
  • Assign, oversee and immerse yourself in the daily technical tasks while ensuring the highest quality to reach established milestones 
  • Have regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding open issues
  • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit when making decisions.
  • Report progress, escalate where necessary and represent Cennox in all forums in a professional manner.

Skills and Requirements:  

  • A strong background in technical support
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in an IT department
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Strong sense of personal accountability
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality  
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles  
  • Experience with Office365 administration
  • Experience building and maintaining laptops for both on-site and remote employees
  • Experience supporting mobile phones remotely via an MDM
  • Wants every co-worker to have a great experience with technology
