This is a full-time remote opportunity, with the idea candidate residing within the state of Louisiana. The Clinical Pharmacist is a member of the Pharmacy Medication Management Team (PMMT), a group of clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians within the Aetna Medicaid. This position is tasked with support of team clinical pharmacists and for coordinating and administering programs to promote the appropriate use of medications by members and providers.

Fundamental Job Components:
• Responsible for leading pharmacy-based clinical initiatives and supporting the work of clinical care teams serving high risk Medicaid members to improve medication utilization and member outcomes.
• Collaborate with health plan associates (including pharmacy director, care managers, medical directors, provider relations, quality management, and others as necessary) to identify high priority member and provider populations in order to perform clinical pharmacy interventions and improve member outcomes.
• Review and evaluate pharmacy and medical claims data with plan associates to identify members and prescribers requiring clinical pharmacy interventions.
• Work closely with team of PMMP pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and PMMP data analyst to continually improve processes and maximize positive impact on member care.
• Assist in the development of member and provider facing tools, resources, and educational outreach material.
• Independently complete accurate and comprehensive medication reviews and perform the corresponding member, care manager, and provider outreach as necessary.
• Be comfortable referencing multiple electronic database systems to identify member information related to clinical concerns and document interventions.
• Serve as the medication expert for health plan clinical care activities.
• Perform drug information and research for evidence-based program solutions.
• Prepare properly researched, cited/referenced clinical materials in support of programs, members, providers, and business partners.
• Sedentary work involving significant periods of sitting, talking, hearing and keying. Work requires visual acuity to perform close inspection of written and computer-generated documents as well as a PC monitor.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 82,000
Maximum: 176,800

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• A current, unrestricted clinical license(s) to practice as a Pharmacist is required.
• 3 years' clinical pharmacy experience or equivalent is required.
• 3 years' experience in managed care with in-depth knowledge of managed care / managed pharmacy environment is required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer).
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong customer service skills including attention to details, sensitivity to member issues, proactive identification, and resolution of issues to promote positive outcomes for members.
• Ability to effectively participate in a multi-disciplinary team including internal and external participants.
• Self-starter.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with HEDIS measures and NCQA.
• Experience in managed Medicaid health plans.
• Teaching certificate preferred.
• Ideal candidate would reside in Louisiana.

Education
• A current, unrestricted clinical license(s) to practice Pharmacy is required.
• Degree in Pharmacy; Business degree a plus.
