About the Job:
The Technical Proposal Writer is responsible for assisting in the development of compliant, compelling, and persuasive content in accordance with government solicitation responses, industry best practices, and Falcon’s quality standards. This position calls for a highly skilled and effective communicator, who understands the technical aspects required in RFPs, interprets those proposal requirements, and prepares a final response that is clearly expressed to critical technical and non-technical decision makers.
The ideal candidate will be part of our Business Development Team and be responsible for providing broad operational day-to-day support by inputting details and updates into our TechnoMile and Government BD Proposal SharePoint sites, in addition to tracking, EZGovOpps, GSA eBuy, and other external platforms that support the Business Development team. You will create reports for the Managing Director of Government Business Development.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Track and analyze key metrics, including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment.
- Coordinate, write, edit, and produce responses to Solicitations, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs; this includes research, technical content, graphics, page layout, and design.
- Ability to work with the Managing Director to assemble materials and assist in the entire proposal process from start to delivery.
- Read and analyze Solicitations, SOWs, PWS’, RFQs, RFIs, RFPs, and Task Orders and edit proposal content for spelling, grammar, consistency, and compliance with the requirement.
- Assist with tracking and inputting opportunities into TechnoMile.
- Schedule and participate in strategy meetings.
- Attend pre-proposal meetings and debriefings as needed.
- Assist with other business development/marketing functions, as necessary.
- Update & maintain the Business Development department’s documentation and databases (i.e., project portfolios, references, licenses and past performance certifications, project history, etc.)
- Own the end-to-end process of tracking the Business Development funnel and operational metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, humanities, computer science, or related disciplines.
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- A quasi-journalistic ability to quickly grasp specialist knowledge and make it clear for external parties.
- Agility and speed in executing strong writing.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to “get smart quick” on a wide variety of topics.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment.
- CRM Software.

Annual Salary: up to $80,000 per year plus bonus
