Job Description


We are hiring for our Cross Sell team and looking for an Account Executive who can work with brands across Canada and US to help them meet their goals


The Cross-Sell team are the growth experts powering high-velocity brands by providing value through various product offerings native to Shopify like Shopify Payments, Shop Pay Instalments & Shopify Capital.


In this role you will work with existing Shopify Merchants to help grow and scale their revenue through various product offerings selling our financial services and retail product suite as well as any upgrades to our traditional core or Plus platform.


Responsibilities:



  • Understand the unique business goals, needs, and pains of merchants to help them grow with Shopify products

  • Work with prospects through an entire sales cycle, from intro conversations through to contract negotiations

  • Uncover new business opportunities

  • Effectively move your way through the sales cycle managing your pipeline of products that change quarterly & annually based on the business need

  • Collaborate on projects within the team and region with other Shopify teams to deliver the highest level of merchant experience

Qualifications



  • Comfort and ability in outbound-heavy new business or upsell/cross-sell sales

  • Full Sales Cycle experience preferably in a fast paced technology/software, start up, media agency or consulting sales environment with high complexity

  • Ability to create and execute a territory plan

  • Experience managing and closing various sales cycles within North American markets

  • Energy, motivation, and self-discipline to stay focused amongst the chaos of diving into a new market

  • A passion for talking to people, understanding their unique business needs, and showing them how to 10x their business

  • Experience with Challenger Sales methodology is a plus
