Job Description:


We are looking for a passionate MDM Architect to help us drive our enterprise data integration strategy forward, and help deliver highly valuable, secure, and reliable data across our various master data domains. You will be a key member of our Digital Capital architecture team and will be responsible for establishing capabilities, developing technical and architectural specifications, creating and maintaining standards, and translating complex data requirements. You will work closely with business stakeholders, our data governance organization, and developers to mentor and provide feedback in accordance with the firm's enterprise architecture standards. You will also work with your peers across Digital Capital and other departments in BT as the technical expert for all things MDM.


Responsibilities required are as follows:


• Defines capabilities and standards for MDM enterprise architecture and leads standards documentation for all aspects of the MDM lifecycle.


• Develops MDM solution architectures of varied styles and integration patterns as required by each major data domain including Client, Project, Finance, HR and Supplier.


• Defines Data Quality and Metadata Management standards and patterns to be applied for each data domain


• Summarizes and reviews the solution proposals with business owners for approval.


• Translates business requirements into technical solution architecture artifacts including data flow diagrams, data models, process flows and technical solution specifications.


• Aligns solutions with overall enterprise architecture standards for data management, security, and infrastructure and works with respective teams to approve and support implementations.


• Leads POCs and prototypes to MDM and Data Governance tool solutions.


• Recommends changes and improvements to Data Governance framework, including changes to capabilities, tools and processes as needed.


• Defines approach and standards for Reference Data Management including CRUD process management across each of the major data domains.


• Conducts new vendor evaluations, capability reviews, engagement, and general vendor oversight.


• Monitors the integrity and quality of data by initiating periodic audit programs of data quality; and audits testing the adherence to standards by technical teams. Monitors results and corrective action plans.


• Creates project and annual budgets and forecasts.


• Performs other duties as required.


Must be able to work Eastern Time Zone hours.

Minimum Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related discipline.


• 10 Years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.


Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.


The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills and Abilities:


• Deep understanding of MDM and upstream and downstream integration.


• Experience creating MDM strategies, with the ability to professionally discuss requirements, priorities, potential solutions, and MDM architecture patterns.


• Experience gathering and documenting Master Data Management requirements.


• Thorough understanding of Data Management best practices such as Match/Merge, Enrichment, Trust and Survivorship, Deduplication.


• Thorough understanding of HUB architecture, Enterprise Integration and SOA.


• Can articulate the business value of MDM and steer best practices within a domain or industry.


• Experience in designing, configuring and deploying MDM solutions on a leading platform.


• Familiarity or experience with AWS and Oracle cloud data architecture.


• Expert knowledge of various data architecture modeling and implementation techniques to support transactional, relational, dimensional, and unstructured data requirements.


• Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment.


• Demonstrated skill in working with offshore development is desired.


• Ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
