Position Summary:

Responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks for Infrastructure and Operations relating to the Server, Data Center, and Azure cloud environments. This position has technical engineering and operational responsibility for the hardware, software, and systems managed by the Systems Engineering team, which includes operating systems, email, antivirus, Active Directory, Office 365 cloud services, and backup/recovery solutions. Supports multiuser systems for a larger corporate environment. Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, migrates, builds, and manages Microsoft Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), and Platform as a service (PaaS) cloud solutions.
  • Works in tandem with the IT teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
  • Gathers and translates client business requirements into use cases for Microsoft 365 / Azure.
  • Communicates Microsoft 365 / Azure product benefits and professional services capabilities / value to technical and business leaders.
  • Builds, scales, and secures our onpremise and cloud services using automation tools such as Azure DevOPs, Terraform, ARM Template.
  • Works as a subject matter expert in Azure cloud especially in key areas but not limited to: Azure Networking, Container Services, Identity Management, Azure Services (CDN, Frontdoor, APIM, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, DDOS, WAF, App Services, Keyvault)
  • Leads our Infrastructure as Code initiative - works to design, build, and automate our infrastructure fabric. Digs in and understands manual operations, then builds an orchestration layer to automate
  • Develops lifecycle roadmaps and executable plans for all products managed by the IT Infrastructure team
  • Responds to major incident escalations and participates as a key member of the incident management Analyzes issues and collaborates with teams on root cause analysis.
  • Participates as a subject matter expert and resource on Plans and coordinates project deliverables, timelines, training, and executive briefings.
  • Works as a subject matter expert in the following key areas: Power BI, Office 365/Azure Active Directory, Exchange/Exchange Online, Power Platform Governance, Citrix XenDesktop, Active Directory, VMware product
  • Provides operational support and maintenance for the Microsoft server operating systems in all data center Responsible for design and engineering of the server lifecycle processes.
  • Manages and maintains the incident management queues for the team. Troubleshoots problem tickets and issues to
  • Provides metrics and compliance reports for server systems and infrastructure (e.g., availability, backup, patch compliance, )
  • Adheres to compliance controls as assigned (e.g., Internal Security Audits).
  • Works with managed service providers; provides oversight for service level agreement
  • Assists with technical issues, project management, design, analysis, and implementation of computing solutions
  • Participates in 24x7 on call

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • Azure certifications.
  • Minimum of ten (10) + years of experience with application, infrastructure, database, and networking architecture.
  • Minimum of six (6) + years of experience managing large scale, production Windows environments.
  • Office 365 Exchange Online SME (architecture, design, configuration, support, and troubleshooting) experience
  • Extensive experience and working knowledge of Azure cloud platform.
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory and external cloud DNS platforms
  • Experience supporting a 24x7 production environment and experience with hardware and software virtualization required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) + years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaS.
  • Minimum of two (2) + years of experience with CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g. Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Travis CI, Hudson, Artifactory, etc.).
  • Experience with networking and security concepts, methods and technologies in large scale, production Azure and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with log collection tools and analysis, as well as infrastructure performance monitoring tools and optimization practices.
  • Working knowledge of container based infrastructure such as Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, etc
  • Minimum of six (6) + years supporting Active Directory, GPO, DNS, Clustering, and Windows Server (Server Core, 2012/2016/2019).
  • Hands-on experience with one or more configuration management systems such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terrform, ARM template, Azure DevOps.
