SUMMARY



This position supports the Vehicle Administration function through managing the depreciation process and used vehicle sales reserves. This position also works on ad hoc IT projects, as well as ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.





REMOTE work from HOME





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS







  • Manage depreciation process, to include monthly reporting, variance analysis, report automation, and analysis of accelerated depreciation requirements. Management of this process applies to significantly material financial statement dollars.


  • Perform monthly close for used vehicle sales valuations reserves and required accelerated depreciation. This includes account investigations, initiating system reporting, monthly journal entries, and validations. This also includes system reconciliations and validation of sub ledger activity.


  • Oversee and lead scheduled depreciation reviews to identify any changes needed to policy depreciation and accelerated depreciation. This includes reviews with Senior Management, partnering with IT for automated solutions, managing internal and external audit reviews, as well as developing and maintaining detailed documentation of each review.


  • Administer system depreciation policy changes. This responsibility includes coordination with IT and Field Finance, as well as testing and analytical impact comparisons.


  • Participate in special projects to include IT programming updates to current system and efficiency improvements.


  • Assist VA Director with ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. This includes advanced Excel files and some modelling.






ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES







  • Performs other duties as assigned






EDUCATION



Bachelor's degree in accounting.



Master's degree accounting/finance preferred.





EXPERIENCE



Five (5) years or more experience in public accounting/monthly close





SKILLS







  • Must possess excellent analytical skills and be methodical in solving problem.


  • Strong verbal and written communications skills


  • Ability to understand and work with internal and external audit requirements


  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)


  • Ability to work independently and as member of a team


  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment


  • Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities


  • Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices


  • Must be reliable and timely






KNOWLEDGE







  • Advanced level skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data management, modelling and analysis are required


  • General Ledger systems and sub ledgers






LICENSES



Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market



data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or



certifications, etc.





The salary for this position ranges from $79K to $95K. Salaries may be supplemented with a bonus as applicable and/or as business conditions allow.
