The ACE Project Director is responsible for defining resourcing managing and executing technical and performance enhancing finance and accounting projects. As the ACE Project Director you will work across the finance accounting and shared services disciplines and with our internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and build business cases that maximize our efficiency and effectiveness. You will prepare and present business cases which include resource requirements and staffing plans one-time and recurring costs project timelines project risks and dependencies and a monitoring plan for the implementation of the recommendation. You will ensure we are maximizing our use of available technologies and propose enhancements that fulfill our overall goal to prepare and produce accurate and timely financial data information and reporting to our business partners and owners. You will lead with humility by engaging leadership and staff in solutioning and continue to change manage stakeholders through the acceptance training deployment and adoption cycle. You will work across product verticals to ensure horizontal alignment of people process technology and governance.

Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelors degree in business with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred. 8+ years' experience leading developing and motivating teams.
  • A minimum of 6 years in public accounting and/or accounting management preferably in the hospitality or real estate industry.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Relevant qualifications in Change Management advantageous.
  • Skilled at technical accounting.
  • Ability to present to and interface with senior and executive leadership
  • Ability to assess resource gaps and develop interim staffing plans.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Focus on continuous improvements with a proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems.
  • Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills. Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking analytical ability and problem solving skills.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of all areas of hotel accounting and finance.
  • Requires thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Strong computer skills. Strong communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify issues within the Finance & Accounting departments including but not limited to resourcing gaps control issues and delays in month-end and reporting.
  • Design programs and projects to address issues within the Finance & Accounting departments.
  • Develop interim staffing plans to fill gaps within the Finance & Accounting departments.
  • Prioritize projects and present to Aimbridge Finance & Accounting leadership for review and validation.
  • Assess ROI and alternative solutions which deliver value to the business.
  • Align solutions to stakeholder groups including operations and other corporate functional departments.
  • Work across Finance & Accounting disciplines on integrative efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Provide oversight of accounting activities to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Support development and delivery of project scopes and objectives with a view on organizational change impact.
  • Implement and deploy priority projects to address issues within the Finance & Accounting departments.
  • Evaluate project performance and provide analysis to Finance & Accounting department leaders and other operational management groups.
  • Oversee change management within the Finance & Accounting departments.
  • Provide project management for the various projects assigned within the Finance & Accounting departments.
  • Address HR and change related risks and provide mitigations for the Finance & Accounting projects.
  • Contribute to training checklists based on policy changes within the function.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures and systems of internal control.
  • Continually assess the scope quality and efficiency of services provided to internal stakeholders Property GMs Regional Managers and Owners.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) to aid in financial statement analysis and understanding.
