Job Description:
This is a contract-to-hire position for a proven, top-producing Mineral Acquisitions Specialist. The Mineral Acquisitions Specialist will start as a contractor for six (6) months and, if proven to be an A-player, will transition to full-time employee with an opportunity for an equity stake in the company. This position’s main responsibility is to correspond with mineral owners and make acquisitions within BCF Partners’ areas of interest. The Mineral Acquisitions Specialist will collaborate with our other departments to provide competitive offers to mineral owners across the US. The candidate must be seeking a long-term, in-house position.
Responsibilities:
- Contacting mineral owners via phone, email, and other available methods to generate buying opportunities while tracking and managing activities via our CRM.
- Confirm and negotiate (with guidance from management) offers with potential sellers.
- Manage prospects and opportunity pipeline to ensure individual and departmental monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas are achieved.
- Collaborate with other departments, including, but not limited to, Operations, Investments, Land, Valuations, Engineering, and Legal.
- Prepare offer letters for mineral owners via our CRM.
Job Requirement Essentials:
- 2+ years of mineral buying experience
- Must have been in the top 5% of all the mineral buying teams for which you have worked
- Strong understanding of the mineral and royalty acquisitions and the Oil and Gas industry
- Exceptional Negotiation Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- An awarded salesperson with a strong list of achievements and accolades - e.g., salesperson of the month, top salesperson of the year, MVP Sales, etc.
- Landman experience
- CPL certification
- AAPL membership
Compensation (6 Month Contractor-to-Hire Position)
