The Director of Finance reports to the CEO and is responsible for Evolve's long-term financial health and growth. You will work closely with other senior executives and stakeholders on all business reviews and company goals, manage budgets across multiple departments, and forecast future needs using a long-term planning process to enable the company to make informed decisions that improve company performance. We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of business and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments. The Director of Finance oversees the accounting department and will produce accurate reports on where money is going within the business and improve or change current practices to increase efficiency. This position requires a trustworthy professional with broad knowledge of all accounting, financial, and business principles. You will be a strategic thinker and effective leader who can make the most profitable decisions and guide the company toward profitability and long-term success.
Responsibilities
• Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems.
• Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.
• Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, internal auditors, etc.).
• Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
• Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors.
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance quarterly and annually.
• Analyzes to make forecasts and report to upper executives.
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
• Responsible for oversight, improvement, deriving, forecasting, and reporting of employer group performance and overall P&L management.
• Develop solutions to complex financial issues.
• Provide business recommendations and solutions based on sound financial principles and robust financial modeling.
• Develops solid relationships across the business by proactively meeting with key leaders.
• Drives business process improvements related to financial processes and financial systems.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 7 years of progressive financial planning & analysis experience.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in finance or related organization.
• Solid background working with financial and analytic data.
• Solid financial, analytical, and business acumen Preferred skills and requirements.
• Experience with start-up and post-start-up manufacturing companies.
• Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas.
• Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
