Formal Instructional Designer (Remote- Graphic design and eLearning technology experience preferred)
Position Description:
In this role, you will be in charge of learning design and development efforts by applying your knowledge of best practices in andragogy. You’ll collaborate with multimedia developers, technology platform team, and subject matter experts to create learning experiences that demonstrate sound adult learning strategies, produce desired learning outcomes, and develop targeted competencies. As a Program Manager Quality - Instructional Design, you’ll need to be able to thrive and succeed in a very collaborative, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Scope and estimate level of effort for project deliverables
- Devise creative solutions strategies that meet the business needs and solve business problems
- Create, manage, and deliver engaging training across multiple mediums and multiple learning styles
- Confirm course specifications and resolve gaps
- Utilize authoring tools to build eLearning courses
- Utilize technical and creative writing skills to engage course participants
- Integrate adult learning best practices and thought leadership into eLearning courses
- Produce eLearning courses on time and on budget and align those programs with an overall learning outcomes strategy
- Address changes and feedback to course deliverables in a timely manner
- Evaluate training outcomes based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Work with subject matter experts to research, write and edit training modules.
- Master content from existing sources well enough to communicate it.
- Develop learning deliverables in various engaging formats (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.).
- Manage work to allocated effort and schedule.
- Design training materials and assessments in adherence to brand standards
- Test training materials to ensure their quality
- Participate in and lead special projects as required
- Contribute to thought leadership on instructional design best practices and implementation of blended learning, including identifying and implementing innovative technologies and approaches
- Conduct learning assessments to determine the most effective learning activities and course designs that align with organizational goals, strategies, and competencies
- Collaborate strategically with team members on cross-functional training approaches to best serve the client’s needs
- Respond to on-demand requests that focus on curriculum development, the use of technology, or communications skills
- Other duties as assigned.
Key COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on your own and with diverse teams
Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly with little guidance or documentation
Ability to edit and perform quality assurance (QA) on your own work
Experience in designing and facilitating interactive learning experiences and designing curricula based on experiential learning, adult learning principles, and using blended learning and innovative learning technologies
Knowledge of the principles of learning including adult learning, learning styles theory, participatory methods, instructional design, whole systems design and related topics
Exhibit solid interpersonal and communication skills that enable successful internal and external interaction in a variety of modes including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, phone conferences, virtual meetings, and written communication
Work effectively with client subject matter experts (SMEs)

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Bachelor's
- EXPERIENCE - 3 Years of Experience
Deep knowledge of adult learning theory and the human performance improvement (HPI) model and how to apply these theories in the design of learning experiences
Recent experience designing instruction for leaders including the design of multimedia training
Articulate 360, Captivate, uPerform or other e-learning development
Adobe Creative Cloud or similar
